The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced today that it was named Sports Law – Law Firm of the Year in Arizona by Corporate INTL for the 2016 Corporate INTL Magazine Global Awards.
According to Corporate INTL, the publication’s research department conducts extensive reviews, draws insight from business leaders throughout the world and takes suggestions over the preceding six months to produce a shortlist of firms for each category. The Corporate INTL shortlist is then reviewed and judged by an independent awards panel.
Gallagher & Kennedy serves as outside general counsel to the Arizona Cardinals NFL team and the Arizona Diamondbacks MLB team. During the course of such representation, the firm’s attorneys routinely handle player contracts and salary arbitrations, television and radio contracts, sponsorship agreements and all other legal aspects of professional sports franchises.
Gallagher & Kennedy served as lead counsel in the financing and construction of Chase Field in downtown Phoenix, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and acted in the same capacity for the new University of Phoenix Stadium constructed in Glendale, Arizona.
