Gallagher & Kennedy's zoning attorneys are actively engaged in obtaining zoning approvals, use permits, general plan and comprehensive plan amendments, variances, and subdivision and development approvals in the municipalities of Maricopa County, Pinal County, Pima County, Yavapai County, and throughout the State of Arizona, as well as in the unincorporated areas of Arizona. Our zoning attorneys work closely with city council members, county supervisors, planning commissioners, planning staff members, neighborhood leaders, and others to bring our clients’ projects to a successful result. • Representation of various regional and national developers in the planning and development of mixed-use, master-planned communities by assisting in a broad range of issues, including master planning and zoning; negotiating annexations and development agreements; infrastructure financing and development; analysis of water rights and environmental protections; and advising on the legal aspects of a national marketing plan and federal and state subdivision regulations.
  
• Assistance in obtaining approvals for resort properties, including use permits, building permits, variances and favorable zoning interpretations on an accelerated basis accommodating a major renovation of the Royal Palms Hotel & Casitas, one of the premier hotels in Phoenix.
  
• Representation of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Maricopa County in design, zoning, permitting and construction issues related to the building of the retractable dome stadium (Chase Field) in downtown Phoenix.
  
• Assistance in obtaining zoning, planning and/or permit approvals to accommodate residential subdivisions ranging in size from 10 acres to hundreds of acres in Gilbert, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Buckeye, and other communities.
  
• Assistance in obtaining commercial zoning and/or permit approvals for retail operators such as Circle K, Walgreen’s, ARCO, Wal-Mart, Boston Market, Big O Tire, and Carioca Oil, as well as developers of commercial centers.
  
• Representation of Clear Channel Outdoor, an international outdoor advertising company, in obtaining approvals for new and relocated structures.
